My Priorities
1. Safe Schools & Support for Teachers
For more than 30 years, I worked in Georgia’s public schools, including here in Fulton County. I know what our teachers and students need to thrive.
- For more than 30 years, I worked in Georgia’s public schools, including here in Fulton County. I know what our teachers and students need to thrive.
- Advocate for more support staff, counselors, and safety personnel
- Strengthen city–school partnerships to improve safety and student well-being
- Invest in after-school enrichment and mental health programs
2. Family Recreation Center
Families, seniors, and veterans deserve a central place to gather, learn, and connect.
- Build a Family Recreation Center to serve as a hub for after-school programs
- Provide programming for seniors and veterans
- Create safe, welcoming spaces that bring our community together
3. Protect Homeowners & Affordability
Rising property taxes and the cost of living threaten to push out families who helped build our city.
- Keep the millage rate low to protect homeowners
- Ensure property taxes remain affordable for seniors on fixed incomes
- Support policies that help working families stay in Sandy Springs
4. Revitalize District 1 & Local Economy
Too many storefronts in District 1 sit empty, and our greatest natural asset—the Chattahoochee River—remains underutilized.
- Partner with the National Park Service to transform the riverfront at Island Ford Park
- Attract outdoor outfitters, restaurants, and family-friendly retail
- Turn District 1 into Sandy Springs’ hub for recreation and local business
5. Smart Growth & Housing Options
Everyone should be able to find a place to live in Sandy Springs.
- Encourage well-planned multi-unit housing near transit and commercial corridors
- Expand options like townhomes, duplexes, and accessory dwellings
- Balance neighborhood character with the urgent need for affordability
